Hand-held moisture tester suitable for natural fibres such as wool and cotton. Also suitable for viscose. The unit has an on-board microprocessor for greater accuracy and reliability as well as a set-point and buzzer to indicate when a pre-selected moisture content has been reached. Battery powered. Hand Held Moisture Tester

Traditional type hand-held moisture testers use simple probes that can be susceptible to the effects of inconsistent sample density, particularly where textile fibres are concerned. This tester utilises various sensors to accommodate a variety of applications.

Different interchangeable sensors are available to optimise the readings of various sample types. For loose fibre a special “cup” sensor allows the sample to be compressed to a repeatable density, 2-prong sensors are available to test bales whilst 8-prong sensors are utilised for yarn. In addition, a special “roller” sensor is available that can be used to test fabric.
